Qdoba offers many of their item menus "naked", that is without the taco or tortilla.
One member gets the "naked" chicken or "naked" buritto there all the time but avoids the Mole sauce.  Ask for a soft white shell corn tortilla to go with your naked buritto.  Just make sure you ask for the corn tortilla and not the flour tortilla.  The tortilla soup is GF according to their web site.  Check their web site for a list of allergens.  November 2006
Ramsi's has quite a few items that are gluten free such as 1001 Arabian Lentils, Pollo Huevo Havana, and Mango Salmon.  Last review - pre 2003

Shalimar Restaurant and Grocery
Sala Thai
August 2007 information:  The Smokey Bones Original BBQ Sauce and the Mustard BBQ Sauce are GF.  (Rumor has it the ingredients have changed - Juen 2008.)  The ingredient list was provided by the manager of the Hurstbourne Lane location.  The waiter checked with the kitchen staff and originally informed me that none of the BBQ sauces were GF.  After dinner, the manager stopped over and subsequently provided the actually labels from the two sauces mentioned above.  So the best on-going advice is to check with the manager or host/hostess first.

The following  items were reviewed by an independent registered dietitian and come to our web site from members of the Cincinnati Celiac support group in 2006.  This list was also obtained in August 2007 in Louisville.  Unfortunately, this list does not conform with their menu as of August 2007, but it is a good reference point.  Appertizer:  Bacon and Cheese Potato Slabs.  Sierra Chicken w/o bread, grilled atlantic salmon w/o bread, House Green Salad w/o crutons with white balsamic or peppercorn ranch.  All barbeque and grill favorites w/o toast with recommended side.  Recommended sides:  Creamy cole slaw, French Fries, fresh steamed broccoli, cinnamom aples, green beans, steamed asparagus, corn on the cob.  Baked potatoes and a loaded baked potato are now also available.  Verify if the sour cream is GF. I did not do that.

They have a GF menu posted on the window before you enter and one near where your order.  Their web site also mentions their sauce is GF.  Our group had a dinner outing here in June 2008.

Red Robin
One location at The Mall and one at Chamberlain Lane and Rt 22.
Louisville, KY
Gourmet burgers are served here.  They actually have a separate gluten-free menu (just ask for it). The Mall location also cooks their french fries in a designated fryer. (Although, you have to order them plain, with no garlic or Red Robin seasonings.) My server was knowledgeable and very helpful.  January 2009
It is easy to dine gluten-free at Saffron's as almost everything served is naturally gluten free.  The food is prepared in the Persian style with meats and vegetables carefully grilled, remaining moist and delicious.  All dishes are prepared with fresh ingredients daily.  You must omit the pita bread; otherwise, you can eat anything else on the menu.  No flour is used to thinken sauces.  Highly recommended is rack of lamb, never on the menu, but always available.  The chicken and fish dishes are equally delightful.  If you must also dine dairy free and gluten free, it is still easy to dine at Saffron's with many choices remaining.  You can easily lunch at Saffron's for under $10 before tax and tip.  The dinner menu is a bit more extensive and costs about twice the lunch menu, but you get twice the amounts of food.  They have a full bar with a modest selection of domestic and exotic beers and a small, but reasonably priced wine list.  You will find the food expecially refreshing and light on your stomach.  I have been there many, many time with no incidents.  Review April 24
