Mission Statement: The Louisville Celiac Support Group is organized to assist people who have Celiac Disease or are gluten intolerant. Our mission is "Celiacs Helping Celiacs". The group works very hard to inform and educate the community about Celiac Disease, Dermatitis Herpetiformis, gluten intolerance and the gluten free diet. Family members are welcome to attend.
This web site is financially supported by the local chapter of the Celiac Sprue Association (CSA/USA) and is developed by one of its members. The information presented here is intended to help our members better understand the gluten free diet and celiac disease issues.

The September 9th meeting will have an "ask anything" night. Our "experts" (board members and members) will answer all your questions. No medical staff will be available, but there is a broad background knowledge from our membership. Everyone is welcome so please join us. Members are encouraged to bring a GF snack to share. A dinner is planned for Friday, September 11 at Lynn's Paridise Cafe on Barrett Avenue. Please let John Hooker know if you can attend so a count can be provided to Lynn's a few days ahead of time. At the October 14 meeting, you are encouraged to bring a bagged GF item with its recipe and exchange it for someone else's. Typically, these are cookies or some baked item. The November 11 meeting may have a medical team from Chicago, but our board is in the early stages of confirming this committment. The Holiday Party will be held on December 11. No regular meeting will be held during December.
