We are a chapter of the Celiac Support Association in Louisville, Kentucky. Our mission is to provide information and support to those with Celiac Disease and other forms of gluten intolerance and their families, and to increase the awareness of these conditions in our community.  Our chapter has been active for more than 17 years.  We meet on the second Thursday of every month at the Baptist Health Education Center.  We also hold cooking classes, group dinners, and other events.  Learn more about CSA here or Print an Application to join our group!

Next Meeting

Our next regular meeting is Thursday, July 9 at 7:00 p.m. at the Baptist Health Education Center in Room 2BThe speaker is Brigid Crush, a nurse educator at Baptist Health.  She specializes in diabetes and will talk about diabetes in general and how it relates to celiac disease.  She is not an expert in celiac disease, so the discussion will be focused on diabetes and how the foods we eat can help avoid it or make life better for those who do have it.  Our dietician, Bev Kastan, will be there to help with celiac/diabetes questions.

Bring a dish to share with the group. As always, gluten free snacks to share during our social time are welcomed and encouraged! Please bring a copy of your recipe for the newsletter, and label the other main allergens in your dish, like milk, nuts, etc., as several of our members have multiple food sensitivities.

Gluten-Free 101 is for new members or anyone who has questions about the GF diet.  The next one is Thursday, July 9 at 6:30 p.m. in the Baptist Health Education Center, Room 2J.

Remember: Membership Renewals are due! This helps pay for the mailing of the newsletter, our rooms at the hospital, the picnic in August, and the Christmas party. Renewals are $15 for the year. If you are not yet a member, click on “Print an Application” above and download an application.
